Chameleon Chrissy Jack

At the recent IPL Virginia show, Chrissy Jack proved why she’s earned the nickname “The Chameleon.” Competing in seven classes across five distinct divisions, she showcased not only her versatility but also her fierce competitive spirit…walking away with multiple top finishes and further cementing her place among the league’s most accomplished athletes. With three IPL Pro titles already to her name, Chrissy continues to push boundaries, challenge perceptions about age and athleticism, and inspire others with her adaptability, determination, and love for the sport. In this exclusive NATURALMAG interview, she opens up about her competitive strategy, mental approach, and what’s next on her ever-evolving journey.

“You never know what your niche is unless you branch out a little.”

Women's Athletic
NATURALMAG: Chrissy, congrats on an awesome showing in VA! You were an absolute force in Virginia! Seven classes across five divisions, plus several top finishes! What inspired you to take on such a massive competitive load in a single show?
Chrissy Jack: There are a few reasons I like doing multiple divisions: 1) it gives me more practice. Even though I’ve been competing for a few years now, there’s always room for improvement. 2) You never know what your niche is unless you branch out a little. 3) Each division is unique and provides different creative opportunities.
NATURALMAG: We are calling you “The Chameleon,” and it’s pretty obvious why! How do you adapt your look, posing, and energy for each unique division…from Bikini to Fitness Angels to Athletic to Swimsuit Model to Evening Gown?

"...keep the same basic routine so it’s easier to remember, but then add small artistic flairs... "

Swimsuit Model
Chrissy: I have multiple personalities…just kidding. [smiles] One thing I try to do for similar divisions is to keep the same basic routine so it’s easier to remember, but then add small artistic flairs to make them suitable for that particular division (different arm movements, for example.) The only outlier is the Athletic division, but that one is the most natural for me anyway.
NATURALMAG: What’s your mental prep like on show day? With so many categories to juggle, how do you stay grounded and focused from start to finish?
Chrissy: Honestly, I just try to relax and have fun. I seem to perform better that way than if I get in my own head and think about it too much. Whether I win or not, it’s the journey making it to stage that counts, as well as the friends I make along the way.

“Graceful is not synonymous with effortless. It takes a lot of work to make things look easy.”

Fitness Angels
NATURALMAG: The Masters 40+ divisions seemed to be your sweet spot. You were unstoppable. What message do you have for women who think age limits how far they can go in this sport?
Chrissy: I could say something cliche like age is just a number, but I think that’s an oversimplification. I’m trying to age as gracefully as possible, but “graceful” is not synonymous with “effortless.” It takes a lot of work and practice in order to make things look graceful. I think my message to anyone 40+ is that the more dedicated you are and the more positive your mindset, then your limits will be that much higher.
NATURALMAG: You earned 2nd place in Bikini Masters 40+…a super competitive class. How did that performance push or motivate you heading into your remaining divisions?

"I was pretty excited to do as well as I did and score high enough points-wise for a pro card, so I’ll definitely keep trying!"

Bikini
Chrissy: It was definitely a stacked division with amazing competitors! I was pretty excited to do as well as I did and score high enough points-wise for a pro card, so I’ll definitely keep trying!
NATURALMAG: With three IPL Pro titles under your belt, you’re now one of the most successful athletes on the circuit. How does that feel? And we assume you are aiming for even more titles…is there a goal or a magic number of Pro wins you are aiming for?
Chrissy: I don’t have a specific number in mind, but I intend to keep competing for as long as my body lets me. I’m very goal-oriented and mission-driven, and competing gives me the motivation I need to stick to a routine. I’ve also enjoyed competitive sports all my life. It’s always a rush earning the trophy or new pro card, but I’m also happy with improving my scores from the last competition even if I don’t win.

"It’s certainly going to be a challenge with my physique, but I’m looking forward to getting stronger and trying something different."

Evening Gown
NATURALMAG: With multiple Pro Cards, three Pro Titles, and strong placements across the board…what’s next for “The Chameleon”? Are we going to see you shape-shift into even more divisions?
Chrissy: I wasn’t sure if I should announce this or play this one closer to the chest. But since you asked…I’m going to really focus on building over the fall and winter and come up to figure or bodybuilding. It’s certainly going to be a challenge with my physique, but I’m looking forward to getting stronger and trying something different. NATURALMAG
