Cover Story – Making History! Lesley Beck Becomes The IPL’s First Ever Bikini Model Pro!

“I really hope that this division is able to grow with more athletes bringing their creativity and flare to it. And have as much fun as I did! I love being able to be onstage in something that I would wear in everyday life, like on vacation or to the beach.”

New IPL Arizona Championship Bikini Model Masters 40+ Pro, Lesley Beck!

The Bikini Model division was added to the IPL roster for the first time in 2022. AND this was the first contest that it was featured.

Earning her Pro Card in the division, Lesley Beck made history by becoming the IPL’s first ever Bikini Model Masters Pro. We are excited to see this division grow!

She also earned her Pro Cards in Bikini Masters 40+, Fitness Angels Masters 40+ & Fitness Angels Open.

“I DECIDED TO HAVE SOME FUN WITH THE POSES AND BRING A BIT OF A DIFFERENT FLARE…”

BEN YOSEF: Massive congratulations to you for not only making history by becoming the IPL’s first ever Bikini Model Pro, but also landing this cover! You have been an active competitor in the IPL for years now, so this is well deserved and long overdue! But a great milestone, nonetheless.

Of course you have done well in several divisions in the league. But making history on the IPL stage last April is what landed you on this cover. So, let’s get into Bikini Model! How are you feeling about what you brought to the division back in April?

LESLEY BECK: I went in with a lot of unknown expectations, given that it was a brand new division. I decided to have some fun with the poses and bring a bit of a different flare from the Bikini division. I absolutely love the pose I hit that is the cover photo. I really hope that this division is able to grow with more athletes bringing their creativity and flare to it. And have as much fun as I did!

BEN: Love it! Yes, you NAILED it on this cover shot! And I am so happy to hear that you are enjoying the division so much! I think you pretty much just answered this, but what are the main differences for you between IPL Bikini Model and the Bikini division?

LESLEY: As much as I love the Bikini division, I feel like I can bring a bit more creativity with Bikini Model. Not only with the  posing, but with the bikini itself.  I love being able to be onstage in something that I would wear in everyday life, like on vacation or to the beach.

“I’VE ABSOLUTELY FALLEN IN LOVE WITH THIS SPORT. I LOOK FORWARD TO THE EXCITEMENT AND ANTICIPATION OF EACH COMPETITION.”

BEN: Love that! That is totally the vibe of the Bikini Model division. As we approach the end of the year, I can’t help but reflect on all that has happened in 2022! What a year! As far as your competition season, this was your best yet. And you just keep improving. What drives you and motivates you to keep going?

LESLEY: Oh my goodness, these competitions, obviously! I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this sport. I look forward to the excitement and anticipation of each competition. I’m already training for and thinking about my goals for 2023!

BEN: Nice! What are some of your biggest goals for stage at the moment? Obviously things can change, but what are you feeling now?

LESLEY: I really want to continue to spread my wings across the various divisions. I’ve considered doing Figure, but I’m still up in the air! I also want to improve and perfect my posing for 2023. Reflecting back on areas that I think need improvement, this is definitely something that I’d like to fine tune. I feel like for me personally, I get so wrapped up and focused on nutrition and training, that often times I’ve neglected this aspect of competing, and I know it’s just as important!

BEN: Love it! Well, I am excited to see what you bring in 2023! You got this! Any final thoughts?

LESLEY: I am eternally grateful to the IPL for all of the opportunities and accolades these last couple of years. It is truly an honor and privilege! NMI
