At 68 years young, Adrienne Akinsete is shattering stereotypes and redefining what it means to be powerful, sensual, and unapologetically visible. A breast cancer survivor, former educator, competitive athlete, and social media force, Adrienne is proving that beauty doesn’t expire—it evolves. In this intimate conversation, she opens up about the rituals that keep her grounded, the journey that transformed her sensuality, and the legacy she’s building by simply being herself—out loud, online, and on stage.

“These rituals aren’t about perfection—they’re about fully honoring myself.”

SEAM: You’ve managed to stay perpetually camera-ready, with a grace that rivals women half your age. What are the sacred rituals or non-negotiables in your daily routine that keep you poised, polished, and powerful—inside and out?
Adrienne Akinsete: For me, staying camera-ready is truly a holistic practice. Every day begins with mindfulness and gratitude—acknowledging my faith in God and honoring the gift of my body and spirit. Movement is essential, whether it’s strength training, cycling, or simply taking a walk; these activities fuel my vitality and youthfulness. I prioritize hydration and clean nutrition, but I also allow myself mindful indulgences—balance is key.
Motivational music helps cultivate inner peace and confidence, setting the tone for the day. Weekly visits to the sauna and hot tub are sacred moments of self-love that reconnect me with my femininity. These rituals aren’t about perfection; they’re about fully honoring myself, which is the true source of my grace and power.

“My sensuality is fierce, unapologetic, and deeply grounded in self-love.”

SEAM: Have you had a moment where you witnessed someone’s transformation because of your example? If so, how did that shift your own perspective?
Adrienne: I don’t take credit for anyone’s transformation, because choosing health and fitness often requires a profound catalyst—sometimes a personal crisis or a wake-up call from life’s realities. For me, it was battling breast cancer that sparked my commitment to health and fitness. Many express the desire to be healthy, but few are ready to make the sacrifices and commitments necessary. That’s why I lead by example. I believe people are more than their bodies—they are soul and spirit.
I’ve had people tell me I inspired them: after meeting my life partner, he began prioritizing his health through walking, portion control, and limiting carbs; my nephew transformed his physique; and my brother, facing pre-diabetes, recently started his fitness journey. But the true credit belongs to each individual, because transformation demands dedication and self-sacrifice.

“Transformation demands dedication and self-sacrifice.”

SEAM: Before fitness stages and photo shoots, there was the classroom. How has your life as an educator shaped your identity as a competitor—and what lessons continue to echo as you step into the spotlight?
Adrienne: Teaching cultivated patience, resilience, and the power of encouragement—qualities that naturally translate into competition. As an educator, I learned to celebrate progress over perfection, to listen deeply, and to inspire others to believe in their potential. These lessons resonate every time I step on stage. Competing isn’t just about physical strength; it’s about mindset and heart. My classroom experience reminds me that true leadership is about showing up fully and uplifting others—whether in a room full of students or a crowd of admirers.
SEAM: Finally, if you could whisper one truth to your 40-year-old self—one fierce, unwavering affirmation about who she’s about to become—what would it be, and why does that message matter now more than ever?
Adrienne: I would tell my 40-year-old self: “You are just getting started. Your power, beauty, and purpose will only deepen with time. Don’t shrink to fit anyone’s expectations—expand boldly into the woman you’re meant to be.” This message matters now more than ever because society still tries to confine women within timelines and roles. But my journey proves that life’s second act can be the most vibrant, fearless, and authentic chapter yet. Age isn’t a limitation—it’s a launchpad. SEAM
