New IPL Men’s Bodybuilding Open & Masters Pro Torrey Plunk Lands Cover Of ATHLETIC Magazine

Athletics didn’t just shape my body. It shaped my character. Wrestling taught me toughness. Martial arts and bodybuilding taught me patience and discipline. Fighting through karate, boxing, and MMA taught me composure under pressure. Sports exposed my weaknesses and taught me that excuses and complaining don’t help. You either prepare, or you get exposed. That mindset carried into business, leadership, faith, and life. Physical training is never just physical. It’s mental, emotional, and transformational. Bodybuilding, specifically, has been an outlet for creativity, discipline, purpose, and accomplishment for decades of my life. The IPL stage gave me the opportunity to earn my first Pro Card at 54 years old, and this September, at 55, I’ll compete in my very first Pro division, something I never truly believed was possible.
